About the Site
How It Became
I first discovered Liam when I saw the movie "Good Boy!" in the theaters, when it first came out. I thought it was very cute, and that the actor who played Owen (discovered to be Liam Aiken) was quite groovy looking. I pretty much forgot about him until "A Series of Unfortunate Events" came out. I really, really liked him in that because he was so cute! I purchased the DVD just to stare at him all day, and managed to collect the full sized movie poster for ASOUE.
How I Got Into This
I have always liked making graphics and doing web design. I stumbled upon an old Liam Aiken fansite one day and went to the gallery. I really, really liked the photos and made a website layout using them. As I progressed with my graphics making, I checked out more and more fansites (for any celebs) to see what they had in their site and what sort of layouts they made.
What I Started Out With
I knew that I wanted to create a Liam Aiken fansite. My only problem was "What to name it?" I wanted something that said, "Yes, this is a Liam Aiken fansite!" so you would not have to guess. At last I came up with Liam Online! I had already made a layout for the site, and all it needed was the name. I typed it on there and it looked perfect. I knew this would work.
Advancments in the Proccess
I soon got hosted by Broken-Faith and moved the site onto there. I had made another awesome layout and added so much more to the site! We had over 2,000 hits and had regular vistors and donators.
Later
Currently, the site is still hosted by the wonderful Joya! The gallery houses nearly 1000 pictures of Liam and the whole site is converted to PHP, by myself. We've had 4 dazzling layouts and have recieved tons of awards!
One Year Anniversary
As I put it on the first anniversary: "I started it all by myself one year ago today, on a Freewebs site. Back then we only had a miniscule gallery, little information, and then some media & interactive things. Now the site hosts multiple networks including a gallery with over 1,000 photos, Respect for Liam, an active forum, a fanlistings page (which is sort of inactive right now), a Myspace, & we’re making a graduation project for Liam! The site has come a long way. We have visitors from the U.K., Mexico, Italy, South America, Japan, the U.S. of A, Canada, & several other amazing places. Also, in the past year Liam has been on ‘Law & Order’, had one short interview, began a new movie, & has attended 4 events. I look forward to further expanding the site & getting more visitors." Next on my site to do list? A whole new media subsite!
